    Membrane roofing is now becoming more common for residential application. The thermoplastic roofing is ideal for houses with an attic. During the snowy season, it will prevent ice-dammed water from leaking. It’s virtually seamless, so it doesn’t allow water to seep into the house.

    In addition to what ER had to say, membrane roofing also has natural UV and heat resistance, which helps deflect unwanted heat from getting inside the house. Furthermore, membrane roofing also remains flexible as it gets older. Hence, it is durable and has a long lifespan. It’s actually a cost-efficient roof system, you know.

    With a rubber sheet that provides waterproof coating to your roof, this membrane roof works well in preventing leaks. That is, if there are no holes in the membrane itself. In that case, you need to have it checked from time to time to ensure the quality of the roof. If there are holes on the membrane, you can repair the it through patching. That's much better than replacing the membrane itself, right? :)

    איטום ע"י יריעות ביטומניות

    בכדי להתחיל את איטום הגג יש למרוח פריימר ביטומני בעובי 250 גרם לכל מ"ר על כל שטחו של הגג. באזורי הקירות מומלץ למרוח שכבה נוספת לאיטום מסיבי יותר. לאחר מריחת הפריימר יש להמתין מספר שעות בכדי להגיע לייבוש מלא (מספר השעות המדויק על פי הוראות היצרן).
    לאחר ייבוש הפריימר יש להלחים יריעת חיזוק ברוחב של 15 ס"מ על כל החיבורים שיש בין הקירות לרצפה, וכל כל האזורים הרגישים בגג. מומלץ להשתמש ביריעות אשר אין בהן ציפוי אגרגט בכדי שיהיה ניתן להלחים את השכבה הבאה מעל היריעות.
